Blog entry: the fouth
Man...to me Jesse Helms was a honest man, i wouldnt say he was nice, or some one id want to know personally. I believe that the obituary was fairly written, the author covering both his positive attributes and mostly out of date and negative morals, but he was true to himself and true to others and you knew where you stood with him. From what i read in the article and elsewhere he used the tools available to oppose what he didnt want but wasnt much for backstabbery and im cool with that, i just wouldent want to be around him...
Critical Thinking Blog no 3
I can see many possible uses for that new touch technology for instance teaching difficult to image subjects (ie genetics, or atomic structure), or as a tool for creative creation (like drawing , or sculpture...maybe even slight entertainment purposes.

Blog entry the first
Well..i was flabbergasted i suppose. I never really put two and two together when it came to meditation or how you were supposed to quiet your mind, its kind of funny every time i tried it seemed that some thought or the other clamored for attention and the more i tried to quiet the thoughts the louder they became...Maybe Jill has a point maybe the only way to achieve inner peace is to shut off the distraction that is being constantly provided by the left hemisphere of our minds, but as it stands the only way to do that is to be lucky (or is that unlucky) enough to develop a small hemorrhage in the left side of your brain. the only other alternative it seems is to have patience and develop a strong sense of inner discipline. Heh maybe true spiritual enlightenment is found in book but in people, not in ceremony itself but the connection it enables in a group...heh or maybe I'm just rambling.
Critical Hit #2 Politics and why we shouldent interfere
in this assignment we are supposed to list 3 politicos whom we find interesting and while i could care less what they think (im an advocate of isolation, i mean how can you help anyone else when your own house is in disorder...ja naa?) it is what is assigned and so it is what i shall do.
1 .George Ayitty - this is exactly what africa needs someone who can bootstrap them into a modern era, he is the president of the Free Africa Association (funnily enough thats in america you would think a free africa association would be centralized in africa...) and he has written a few books on the subject of economy which is africas biggest stumbling block (the worlds largest supply of diamonds and precious metals and they cant work together and capitalize on it to save their lives...figures) he is helping but then again there is a saying "you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink" if they dont want an end to the civil war, famine and plague ravaging their country then it wont stop, period.
2.Paul Collier- another economist (yeah yeah i know money isnt everything but in the game of nations imho it accounts for much) this one worked for the world bank...yeah yeah he is the pinnicle of evil and whatnot but still anyone who can write a book on helping third world countries repair their economies cant be all that bad, well i suppose he can if its deliberately bad advice... (the book is called "the bottom billion")
3. Gang Fan - dont seem to have any wiki articles on this guy but hey a chinese economist from china what could ever go wrong with that eh?
